From the light brushcutter for the finishing touches to lawn care through to the backpack clearing saw for demanding jobs in inaccessible areas - Stihl has the right power tool for every application.
Stihl brushcutters and clearing saws are very ergonomically designed. Their ease of operation and light weight allow even larger areas to be covered comfortable and efficiently for landscape maintenance.
The machines fitted with the ergonomic design of the bike handle (Bull handle), allows a natural, effortless sweeping motion, especially when mowing large areas. Whereas the machines fitted with a loop handle (R Versions) will perform outstandingly well in confined spaces.

STIHL 4-MIX

The new Stihl 4-Mix engine is the first 4-stroke engine that runs with a fuel mixture based on the patented 4-Mix principle and combines the advantages of 2 stroke and 4-stroke engines in one. It produces up to 80% less noxious exhaust emissions than comparable 2-stroke engines and is ready to meet tomorrow's emission standards. In addition, it has a pleasanter sound and stands out from 2-stroke engines through its higher torque. The innovative capabilities of our engineers have allowed us to design and build a truly revolutionary engine.

Unlike other 4-stroke engine, the 4-mix engine runs with the usual 2-stroke mixture (1:50). A totally new development ensures that the mixture of petrol and oil is distributed through the complete engine via a bypass duct in the cylinder head, thus ensuring thorough lubrication. The 4-Mix engine is consequently the first 4-stroke engine ever to be lubricated by the fuel mixture.

The new 4-Mix engine is accompanied by two new brushcutters, being the FS110 (bike handle) and FS110R (Loop handle) models.

• Oil pump and oil pan are rendered superfluous by the bypass solution.
• Oil changes and oil checks are not needed.
