The Donnelly Standard Slasher utilises suction lift blades, high tip speed, robust blade beam and deck construction.

• Adjustable Skids
  Are used for variable cut height adjustment. Offering 5 positive bolt hole positions.
  Minimum cutting height is 15mm to a maximum of 115mm, operating on skids only.
• Non-Adjustable Skids
  Are normally incorporated with a rear jockey wheel, which allows the cutting height variation required.
  Another advantage is there is not rust build up between adjustable skid plates.
  Minimum cutting height is 35mm to maximum Jockey wheel adjustment height approximately 150mm.

The standard slasher comes in Medium, Heavy, Extra Heavy and Super Extra Heavy Duty.

SIDE DISCHARGE SLASHER

HD 1.2M (4') SIDE DISCHARGE SLASHER
With Optional castor front rollers and rear height control wheels.

 

Side Discharge Slashers are designed for Orchard work so that they can discharge material on to the base of the trees or a rocky terrain where a side discharge slasher receives less damage because rocks are cleared immediately on impact. The operator needs to be aware of the safety aspect of this feature eg people, roadways, houses.

The side discharge slasher clears material at the front immediately on impact, saving approximately 20% in hp which translates to a fuel saving and less wear and tear on the tractor allowing you to travel at least 1 to 1 ½ gears faster providing your terrain allows.

A directional discharge chute control assembly allows excellent control of the material discharge eg ranging from just outside the slasher to its maximum distance, which varies in accordance with size of slasher and ratio of gearbox.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

Jockey Wheels

• Jockey wheel carries half the weight of the machine, tractor carries other half.Ideal for tight cornering eg close headlands, creek banks, fences, trees etc.
• Allows easy height adjustment using a simple pin assembly with 5 pin positions and has a greaseable pivot point.
• The pivot arm is made solidly from RHS steel and using a HT Stub Axle with a puncture proof solid rubber forklift tyre.
• Reducing maintenance on skids and improving manoeuvrability.

Front Spherical Rollers (Pair)
Eliminates soil disturbance, also ground friction and skid wear. These rollers are only narrow in width, reducing the amount of grass being flattened.

Front & Rear Rollers (Pair)
Are ideal for turf, golfcourse and park work, maintaining an even cutting height.

Front Castor Rollers
Reduce wear and tear on the skids and also reduce scuffing of grass by the skids in the orchards, similar features to Jockey Wheel eg easy manoeuvrability.

Roving Dual Linkage
Giving the ability to have the slasher both onset and offset according to the operators needs.

Chain Top Link
Chain Top Link is required on medium & heavy duty machines only. A large number of people have this already. If it not offered in the price of the machine but an option extra. It is used to give the slasher the float required. Float = ability to travel over lumps & hollows in the terrain.

Hydraulic Side Chute Gate
Allows the operator to open & close or to set the gate at any required opening as desired, without having to get off the tractor, simply at the push of a lever.

Safety Chain Curtain (Front & Back)
Are a must for contract or council operation, stopping discharge of dangerous projectiles.

Rubber Skirts (Front & Back)
Main advantage of a rubber skirt is the ability to change to curtain without the use of a welder. Can be changed on site and does a similar job to chains.

Galvanizing
Offers the best possible rust protection, ensuring excellent resale value.
Duck Tail
The duck tail is a deflector plate to project material evenly across the rear of the Slasher. Greatly reducing or even eliminating the wind row effect of a standard slasher.

Mulching Blade System
Mulching blade kit is used to mulch heavy material by using a double cut system. Can be incorporated on standard and side discharge slashers.
