EHD Rotaslashers

The Howard EHD range of Rotaslashers is the top of the line slasher. Build for long life in the most arduous conditions. All EDH models are now supplied as standard with the new, design registered Leading Edge blades with provide a cleaner cut and longer life in most applications.
Some of the features of this model of slasher are:

The EDH 360 Dreadnought is the twin head EHD Rotaslasher for broad acre slashing jobs. The Dreadnought is available with either a painted or galvanised body.

EHD General Specifications:
Bodies:

Bodies are manufactured from 5mm steel plate, strongly reinforced with full length gussets. Then, apart from the Dreadnought, all bodies are hot dip galvanised.
Tractor Mounting:
All EHD models are centrally mounted and have Cat 2 three point linkage geometry.
Drive Shaft:
BYPY A7 series tri-lobal drive shafts are supplied with the EHD 150, 180 and 210 models. A BYPY 108 series tri-lobal drive shaft is supplied with the Dreadnought.
Clutch:
A Howard, sintered bronze, multi-plate clutch is fitted to the slasher end of the drive shaft of the EHD 150, 180 and 210 models. A two plate friction clutch is fitted to the input shaft of the splitter gearbox on the Dreadnought.
Gearbox:
The Howard designed and built, fabricated steel unlimited HP (at 540pto) EHD gearbox is fitted to all models. Machine cut hardened alloy steel gears and taper roller bearings are used throughout. The combined spindle, output shaft and blade beam mounting flange, is precision machined from a single drop forging. A double oil seal system, backed up by a felt seal and a dust cover, us used to protect the spindle bearings, The EHD gearboxes on the EHD 150, 180 and Dreadnought models have a ration of 1:1.87. On the EHD210, the ratio is 1:1.39. The splitter gearbox on the Dreadnought has a 1:1 ratio.

Blade Beam:
Multi-leaf, spring steel blade beam with tear-drop, stress reduced blade fastener holes are supplied on all models.
Blades:
Drop forged, heat treated Leading Edge blades pivoting on extra hard, cold forged bushes are fitted.
Optional Equipment:
Single or double, laminated rubber, puncture proof height control wheels. (Twin wheels are standard on the EHD 210 and the Dreadnought).
